Phonograph Parts / Accessories

There are literally thousands of different types of phonographs, so trying to list all parts would be impossible. Here is a list of parts that I have in stock and that are accessible through other shops by me. If you need something you see here or if you need something that you don't see here, then don't hesitate to email me or call me and let me know what you need. Complete Reproducers

Reproducers are sold cleaned, adjusted, and in most cases, rebuilt with new gasket. The reproducers that are not rebuilt, are the original reproducers with pot metal housings that can not be taken apart in order to rebuild them properly. In these cases, the price would be reflected on it's condition. The reproducers llisted below are the most common reproducers needed. If you need one that you don't see listed here, then don't hesitate to email or call us. Reproducers marked with (O) are originals. If they are not marked with (O), then they are reproductions.   The variance in prices for these original reproducers will depend on the condition of the reproducer as well as the finish and condition of the metal (gold or nickel, etc).

Cranks / Winding Keys

Cranks and winding keys come in all shapes and sizes. For example, a Victrola crank will not work for an Edison phonograph. The same goes for either of them not working on a Columbia model Q. Here is a chart for the most common types of cranks and their models. If you need a crank that you don't see listed below, then email or call me with the specifics (make, model, length, thread type, etc.). The cranks listed are all reproduction cranks.  The variance in prices for these reproduction cranks will depend on the specific model that they are being used.    If you would rather have an original crank, let me know what you need and I can check to see what is available.

Governors / Governor Parts

Every motor has a "governor." This is the piece that rotates the fastest and it will have "springs" (which are actually flat pieces of steel) and "weights" (could be 2 of each, 3 of each or as many as 4 of each). If your motor is running at an erratic speed and nothing is wrong with your mainprings or your gears, then the problem could be with the governor.   If one of the springs are broke or one of the weights are missing (most common problem), then you will need to replace all the governor's weights and springs, even if the governor has 4 springs and weights.   This is to ensure proper balance and it will allow your motor to rotate without any speed fluctuations or vibrations. Parts marked with (O) are original parts. If they are not marked with (O), then they are reproduction parts. The variances in prices for these governor parts will depend on the specific model that they are being used. The prices below for the springs and weights are for each spring and weight, not for the set that you need.

Springs
$3.00 - $5.00
Weights
$7.00 - $12.00

Horns

There are many different types of horns that can be purchased for your phonograph. All the horns listed below are reproduction horns. Sometimes original horns are available so if you want an original horn, then it's best to ask and then I can let you know what is in stock or what I can get through suppliers. If you don't know what type of horn should be with your phonograph, then email me or call me with your phonograph's details (make, model, etc) and then I can let you know. In some cases, multiple horns would have been available for your phonograph so then you'd be able to choose from what is available.  If you need a horn for a machine not listed below, then that means that the horn isn't available in reproduction and that you will need me to find it for you as an original horn.   In this case, let me know and I'll see what is available.

The horns listed below are metal horns.   Wood horns are also being made but there are too many to list.   Most wood horns start at $900 and go up.   The price depends on what type of horn you need and what type of wood you want for the horn.   Let me know what model of phonograph you have and what type of wood you want and then I can quote you a price.

** The asterisk next to the naame of the horn means that the horn will require a crane to hold it up.   Please see the list of cranes and crane pieces here = Cranes / Crane Pieces.

All cranes come with all needed hardware to mount the crane to your cabinet and the cranes also come with one rubber horn connector to connect the horn to your phonograph's reproducer. Turntables / Felt

It's very common that a turntable's felt will be old, dirty, or torn.   Changing these can help your phonograph look much better and it's done very easy.   If your turntable is missing or warped, then the whole turntable can be replaced also.  Turntables come in all sizes and the felts come in all colors.   The basic colors for felt are green, gold, or "rust."   If you want or need a different color, then let us know what you'd like and we can tell you what colors we can get.    Here is a  list of the basic turntables that people may need to buy (if a complete turntable is needed) or repalcement felt that can be purchased for their turntable.   The variance in prices for these original turntables will depend on the condition of the felt (new or original) as well as the finish and condition of the metal (gold or nickel, etc).
